Adelyn- 10 Months Old

Well, I will be 10 months old in 2 days!  I was going to wait until my actual 10 month birthday to post this, but we are going to be in Amarillo, so I went ahead and posted it early. 

This month I celebrated Jesus' birthday for the first time.  We flew up to Washington to spend Christmas with Nanny, PawPaw, SaSa, Uncle James, Stormi, Caleb, Micah and Ellie.  I had a great time in Washington and did great on the flight too.  I cried for a few minutes here and there, but nothing too bad. 

This Christmas was extra special because it is the last holiday we will get to celebrate with SaSa for a while.  We also drove up to see SaSa in Kansas this month.  Mommy says she is going to blog another post about that later. 

I also enjoyed spending Christmas with all of my cousins.  Even though I am too little to really play with them, I sure enjoyed watching them, and crawling on them when they would let me.  Caleb was really good about being gentle with me when I would crawl on him.  He would laugh and thought it was pretty funny.

One of my favorite things this month is finger food!  I love to feed myself little pieces of waffle, banana, cheerios, sweet potato, pancake, or bread.   Here I am eating some yummy pumpkin pancakes.

Mommy is having trouble finding good finger foods for me because I still only have my bottom two teeth.  She says next month we are going to try some steamed apples, carrots and other fruit/veggies.

This month was also my first New Years.  Here I am with mommy about to go to bed on New Years day- Happy 2011! 

 I was pretty sick for much of this month.  I had my first ear infection but was still in a very good mood considering.  I didn't have the typical signs (pulling at ears, not sleeping), instead I started having drainage and coughing really badly.  Mommy realized that Katelyn had been doing the exact same thing and the doctor had diagnosed her with double ear infection.  Sure enough, I also had an ear infection.  At the doctor appointment we realized that I am still losing weight which concerned the doctor.  I am going back next week for a weight check and hopefully they can figure out what is going on.

I am still crawling everywhere and am now pulling up on just about everything!  I still can't stand on my own, but that is okay Mommy says.  She doesn't want me growing up too fast!

I have started giving big open mouth kisses this month.  It is really fun giving kisses, but I have to be in the mood to give a kiss.  I also started sleeping with my mouse and Nanny blanket this month.  I will stay covered up most of the night, unlike my sister who won't stay covered up for 5 minutes!  This month I have discovered that I enjoy putting objects inside containers.  This toy that Nanny and PawPaw got for me is perfect for that.  Just this morning Mommy caught me trying to put some toys in the trash can!
