He is finally here! Colson Jared Hughes was born 2/20/2012 at 2:20 pm weighing 7lbs 13oz and 21" long.
It was a fast labor/delivery! We got to the hospital around 1:45 and he was here at 2:20! Glad we made it to the hospital!
Here is proud Daddy holding his first born son for the first time!
One of the first things I noticed was how long his toes were! My dad noticed his long fingers- he said he'll be palming a basketball soon :)
Here is Momma getting a good look at her little man!
Since the labor was so fast JoJo didn't make it for the birth, but she got there as fast as she could. (By the way, Gera Beth was there for the whole thing, but we didn't get any pictures of her since she was the one taking the pictures)
Katelyn and Adelyn were able to come see Colson shortly after his birth and they were both in love. Okay, Katelyn is totally in love, Adelyn loves him when she thinks about him, but that is only for a few seconds at a time!
Katelyn is completely obsessed with Colson. She wants to know what he is doing and why he is doing it all the time. If he makes a peep she wants to check on him or give him a pacifier. She is 100% a little momma!
Nanny was on the flight from Seattle to Austin when Colson was born. She was very confused when Jared showed up at the airport with Katelyn and Adelyn to pick her up. Katelyn told her that I was in the hospital and she started to get on to Jared because she thought I had just gone to the hospital and he had left me to go get her- not realizing baby was already here!
Bubba came to town as soon as he was able and met his 5th grandchild!
The hospital visit short and sweet. We were discharged when Colson was almost 26 hrs old and were able to go home! It was such a blessing to get to sleep in my own bed the second night and not be interrupted by nurses all night!
Adelyn likes Colson but she is so busy that most of the time she doesn't notice him. She does love all his toys. The swing is one of her favorite things!
Colson is a sweet baby. We are loving getting to know him and are so thankful to get to be his parents! He has a little squeaky cry that melts my heart. He eats well and so far has slept pretty well.
What a blessing!
