Dear Sweet Adelyn,
This month it was all about TALKING!!! Your vocabulary has exploded and is growing each day. You will repeat just about anything one word at a time. You babble on the phone all the time. You still do the high pitch squeal when you want/need something but will gladly use words when reminded to do so. You love to read books or have books read to you.
One day I walked in your room to find you had removed your shirt and were rummaging through your drawer in search of another one. Long sleeves are not your favorite and seem to annoy you a bit.
You are a happy little sleeper who goes to bed happy and wakes up happy. You sleep with your pillow, blanket and 'baby'. You still like to be rocked before you are laid down. Even 30 seconds will make you happy, and you don't care who rocks you- me, Daddy, Katelyn- we all can do the trick!
You are willing to do just about anything, including this huge slide. You couldn't even get up the ladder on the back, someone had to carry you to the top, but you wanted to slide over and over again!
You are a little lady for sure. You love to play house, cook in the kitchen (although you get frustrated because the door falls on constantly), and play with baby dolls.
Speaking of babies, you love them! We spent a week with your cousin Isabella and you made sure she had her paci all the time! Auntie would have to hide it if she didn't want her to have it because you would try to stick it in her mouth each time you found it!
You ADORE your sister. You try to do everything she does and it is precious to watch. We have started playing simon says and you do your best to keep up with Katelyn. Katelyn also loves playing with you! She loves that you do just what she does!
You have gone through a little bit of a mommy issue this month. You cry a bit when dropped off at the nursery or Bible study, but you are easily distracted by toys within a few minutes. At home we have started to discipline more. You have had a few time-outs and a few spankings. Usually all I have to do is say, "Do you need to sit in time-out?" and you'll respond, "NO" followed by obedience. You stayed the past weekend with Bubba and JoJo and they said you had no mommy issues, so hopefully a weekend away from me was just what you needed!
You are typically a happy, go with the flow, kinda girl. You like to make me laugh with silly faces and are a cuddle bug. You are sweet little lady who brings joy to us each day!
