Wow! I can't believe my little Colsy-Wolsy is 2 years old. It has flown by and yet if feels like he has been here forever. I have a hard time remembering life without this precious little guy. He is so funny, stubborn, sweet, cuddly, crazy, lovable, and such a boy! He is by far the loudest child in our house, except Jared at times :) I can see so much of Jared in Colson, both in looks and personality.
Here is a little interview about our 2 year old-
What does he like to eat? He doesn't have obvious food favorites, other than MILK! He would drink 40oz a day if I let him. He prefers carbs over fruit, veggies and protein. Veggies are bottom on his list. and will sometimes try to leave them on his plate. I will sit there and make him take bites and he will obey, reluctantly, but obey nonetheless. He also won't turn down something sweet!. He is so excited about birthday cake which he will get on Saturday.
What does he like to play with? Trains! His sisters, anything with wheels, empty boxes, playdoh, crayons, shoes, stickers, blocks... His favorite "toy" might be the Ranger at Bubba and JoJo's house. He loves to go for a ranger ride!
How many words does he know? I haven't tried counting and his vocabulary is growing daily. He talks in 3-5 word sentences and I hear him use new words daily. He is working really hard on using his words. When he wants something his first inclination is to whine or fuss. We remind him often to "talk like a big boy".
Who is his best friend? His sisters are some of his favorite people. He also likes Joshua, Isabella, Reesie, Tanner, pretty much anyone he plays with is a friend. He is pretty outgoing and will talk to just about anyone. The only person he isn't too sure about is his younger, smaller cousin, Brooklynn. I think he might be scared of her. She followed him around in Colorado and I think he was a bit concerned she might do something. I don't know what, but it was hilarious to watch!
Does he get into trouble? YES! He is quite mischievous. He likes to throw his food. He likes to go where he is told not to go. He likes to walk through a parking lot without holding my hand. Luckily, he responds well to firm discipline most of the time. He just needs to know Mommy or Daddy mean business and he will typically submit.
Also, luckily for him, he is cute! It is hard to discipline this smile!
Now a few tidbits:
- he loves his "baby" fox
- when he gets into trouble he really feels the need to give mommy a hug
- when Adelyn isn't in the car, he always wants to ride in her seat
- he still has pretty bad ezcema on his feet. he will remove his socks and scratch or ask someone else to scratch
- he wears 2T and 3T
- He doesn't seem interested in potty training, although we are going to do it this spring...ready or not...
- He loves to be outside
- I likes to go get Katelyn from the 'pool-pool' bus (school bus)
- he can reach several light switches in the house :\
- he likes to be in the same room with me most of the time
- his favorite songs are Go Tell it on the Mountain and Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree
- He calls his shirts dresses
Look at these eyes- he is up to something, I can tell!
Happy Birthday Colson! You are so loved!
