Sleeping girl

Since Nanny is in town, Adelyn gets to sleep on the crib mattress on the floor.  This is what I found when I went in to kiss her goodnight. Sound asleep 1/2 way on the bed.  Pure sweetness if you ask me :)

Colson- 3 Months Old

It has been 3 months since Colson was born.  It has flown by so fast.  It seems like he has been here forever, he fits right in!  

He has started going to sleep by himself for naps and bedtime.  All we have to do is swaddle, cuddle a minute, then lay him down and leave.  He might fuss a minute or two, then he is off to dream land.  If he fusses longer than a minute all he needs is a few more cuddles then he is good to go!  

He has found his hands the later part of this month.  He stares at them and often figures out how to put them in his mouth and chew on them.  It cracks me up that he can just sit and watch his hands for so long- he is very intrigued! 

Katelyn and Adelyn love Colson.  The first thing in the morning they run in his room ahead of me yelling, "Good Morning Colson!!!" as they lean over his cradle to see him.  

This month we had Colson's baby dedication at Great Hills.  Special day!

Colson is filling up his carseat.  The straps are in the top position, and let me tell you- he is heavy!  His carseat goes in the middle of the backseat between KG and AE.  WOW, it is quite the task getting him in and out!  The girls both made it to a year before we moved the up to the convertible carseat, I'm thinking he might make it to 6 months!

While Colson sleeps great in his cradle, he will also still fall asleep in your arms.  Jared was rocking him last night and watched him drift off.  Love my boys!

A few more things to note about Colson:

-he is 'talking' up a storm

-he is a very serious child!  When he smiles it lights up the room, but when he isn't smiling he looks ...well.... serious.  

-He loves his playmat

-He likes the swing, but usually in small doses

-He almost always falls asleep while driving

-He doesn't like getting strapped into his carseat, but once the car gets moving, he is happy (or asleep)

-depending on the brand, he wears 3 mo, 6 mo, and 9 mo clothes

-seems to have a little eczema- aqua-fore works wonders :)

Mother's Day- 2012

I am so blessed to be the mother of these 3 children. They are each unique, special and bring me so much joy!

Colson is a sweet, serious baby.  I am so excited to see him grow into a man who prayerfully will seek to honor God with his life.

Katelyn is my big girl, little momma, sweetie-pie!  She is so sensitive to the Lord in her life at such an early age.  She is going to do mighty things for the Kingdom!

Adelyn- what a giggly, lovey, lady!  She puts a smile on my face (especially when she does her bouncy/run). Praying she too comes to know Jesus as her Savior soon and that she is a woman who serves Jesus with her life.

What I am loving most about this phase of life is how much fun they all have together!  Katelyn takes her role of big sister very seriously and watches out for both Adelyn and Colson.  Adelyn loves her sister and has started to really enjoy entertaining Colson.  Colson watches his sisters all the time.  Give him a little time and he is going to be very busy trying to keep up with these girls!

Feeling very thankful this Mother's Day for what it is that makes me a mother- Katelyn, Adelyn and Colson!
